Based on the premise that the Liberian waters can contribute substantially to the local economies WESCO Fishers intends to engage artisanal fishermen in more efficient and productive means of fishing through cooperation under the umbrella of one company. To achieve this WESCO Fishers learns from international practices, while adopting the latest standards in terms of sustainable fishing and the setting of long term ecological friendly goals. In addition to fishing, WESCO Fishers’ aim is to support the provision of marine resources to the local market, either fresh or frozen, or alive. This is achieved through exclusive partnership and close collaboration with ENISUL Fisheries and the putting in place of proper processing mechanisms in every stage of the supply chain.
