NAYMOTE-Liberia is birthed to fill the void of limited citizens engagement in Liberia’s democracy, NAYMOTE has been the leading grassroots organization promoting democracy, governance, community organizing and civic engagement amongst Liberians. Since its establishment in 2001, NAYMOTE has been dedicated to strengthening and promoting positive youth and community engagements in support of democratic governance and sustainable development in Liberia. NAYMOTE has specifically worked on the issues of governance and democracy including elections-related issues, decentralization, local governance, legislative engagements, community development and youth/women) These activities have been implemented in collaboration and partnership with a variety of NGOs and government institutions, National Elections Commission, Federation of Liberian Youths, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Governance Commission as well as the Ministry of Youths & Sports, Gender, amongst others. NAYMOTE’s donors have been the Open Society Initiative for West Africa, National Endowment for Democracy, United States Agency for International Development/Mercy Corps, IOM, ICCO-Netherlands, Trust Africa, National Democratic Institute, etc. With the professional experience, including a frank understanding of the cultural and political environments in Montserrado, Margibi, Bong, Margibi, Lofa, Rivergee, Grand Gedeh and Grand Bassa Counties, respectively. NAYMOTE has a Board which serves as the overall supervisory and Policy maker of the organization. The Executive Director is Eddie D. Jarwolo.
