Mineke Foundation is rated 3 out of 5 in the category philanthropy. Read and write reviews about Mineke Foundation. Mineke Foundation was started in January 2009 by Tonia Dabwe to further the social and economic development of Dabwe Town and surrounding communities in Liberia, West Africa. Our work, which reaches about 20 000 people, builds on the work that our founder's parents, the Liberian Dabwe Wiah and his Dutch wife Mineke Muilerman, began in the late 1960s. Our projects include the renovation of the Damiefa School, small scale agriculture, vocational training courses, entrepreneurship and a children's activity club. Our philosophy is that people are responsible for their own lives. This philosophy guides our work; what we do is geared towards (increased) self-reliance, initiative, and accountability.
