After a careful review of the Liberia Southeast, a group of young Liberian- South-easterners realized that despite of its richness in natural resources, the region, is historically neglected in comparison to other counties around Liberia. The southeast is the host of Liberia’s National Park (Sarpo National Park). It is also the home of gold, diamond, and forest resources. The young men and women also realized that the region has a high potential for development considering its richness in natural resources and observed that the women and the youth are the main drivers of the region’s development and thereby created this unique idea to form an organization that will cater to the holistic development of women and youth in the quest to make them prepare for the future of the region and Liberia at large. Since its establishment on January 3, 2013, the members of the organization using their individual collective resources organized and ran quizzing and advocacy programs in Sinoe. The quizzing competitions for high schools in Sinoe brought together the United Methodist High School, St. Joseph Catholic High School, Sinoe Multilateral high school, Seebeh Junior High School, S. J. C. Davies Junior high school, and the Sinoe Extension high school among others. This program serves as a motivating factor for young people of school going age but not in school to return to school. At least 4,000 students participated. Additionally, INSEG carried out advocacy for children to return to school in parts of Sinoe where gold mining is ongoing were children are not going to school but focus on quick money thereby getting involve with gold mining. The areas include Jeadea, Kpanyan and Sanquin statutory districts. The organization was able to reach at least 5,000 young people of school going age.
